Event Description | In this session, you’ll have an opportunity to try different web-based and tablet-enabled tools that can connect you directly with your students to use formative assessment in your classroom (and even outside of school).

Background | You will be able to determine which of the five shared tools is appropriate for your particular formative assessment goal; create an account for and utilize each of the following tools: Nearpod, Socrative, Kahoot!, Padlet and Plickers; learn from other participants (through discussion) additional ways to replace paper and pencil assessments with online tools; provide examples of classroom use of formative assessment after viewing several videos; read several articles related to the topic from professional journals/websites.
